Historic Apex…too cute!
I love taking friends and family to Historic Apex! Matter of fact one of my favorite “girlfriends day” happened in historic Apex! We spent the better part of the day “browsing” through the boutiques, enjoying the antique stores and just being able to walk and enjoy all the area has to offer. Of course, what is a day without lunch? Our choice of the day was Anna’s pizzeria! YUM!! All those specialty pizza’s; it is a hard choice!! Do you know they make their dough fresh every morning and also make their sauces homemade? I actually crave their pizzas now… (Special FYI, sometimes you can get coupons at resturants.com) We did decide to take our husbands one evening to Anna’s and ended up sitting in The Loft at Anna’s…this is now where I always want to sit! I just love the motif and the atmosphere!
Though, there are many cute and tasty eateries in the area; pubs, grills, a diner and I noticed a bake shop on my last visit! I eventually want to try all of them all! Of course, I have made a trip to enjoy All Booked Up; the cutest used book store I have ever visited, and then followed it up with a treat from The Ice Cream Shop. (shhh)
Back to “girlfriends day”; after lunch, we discovered My Girlfriends Closet, a savvy chic resale, as their website says and it has been Voted "BEST PLACE TO SHOP FOR WOMEN'S CLOTHING" in the 2013 Cary Magazine Maggy Awards! We also found Aria Gifts, an adorable little shop! I wonder how many more trips we will make this year?!?
I know I make this sound all girly; but there is The Beer Dispensary, Apex Outfitter & Board Co., Empire Cigars – The Vault, and the list goes on…there really is something for everyone!
I think next week, I will take hubby on a date and we will start our day at Common’s Grounds Coffee! Hope he doesn’t mind holding my bags!
