2 "Must Try" Restaurants in Pittsboro

S&T’s Soda Shoppe and Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store

I find that whenever we have company here in Pittsboro,  S&T Soda Shoppe is a must see. Even when we first moved here it was one of the first places that we visited. The old pharmacy converted soda shop serves some of the biggest ice creams I have ever seen! Plus it always feels inviting…

Ice cream aside, it is something to see; the tile floors, tin ceilings, and the beautiful wood cabinetry that houses an array of things for the eyes to view. There are displays with pharmaceutical tools from the past, old soda shop and musical items among so many other things from bygone years. I truly enjoy looking at each and every object that lines the walls and more. Each time I go I think I have visually taken in all the relics from the past, only to discover something new on the next visit!

The food is appetizing with a good portion size; I personally prefer to share a sandwich so that I have room for dessert! It is one of those times that I want to say dessert first, then dinner. I think I “WILL” do that next time…

Another must do is an old converted car dealership that now boasts a cute little restaurant called Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store. They host live music, Karaoke night, and open mic night. The following link will not only open to a calendar of events but also includes their diverse menu, and shows pictures of the cute little shop area http://pittsbororoadhouse.com/calendar/ Don’t forget to visit Pittsboro on the First Sunday of each month, when the street turns into an artisan market with almost a street fair atmosphere;”The Roadhouse” joins in the fun by serving 1st Sunday Brunch! (Yum)

Both of these are family owned business, and you can tell it by the wonderful service…and food!

These are only a couple of the wonderful eateries in Pittsboro; this is the beginning of a restaurant series.
